The NADD is the result of the 2016 North American Leaders’ Summit and is the primary mechanism through which Canada, Mexico, and the United States address current and emerging drug threats facing North America. This year’s NADD Public Health summit will be opened by Dr. Rahul Gupta, Director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy and followed by a panel consisting of United States Secretary of Health Xavier Becerra, Mexican Secretary of Health Jorge Alcocer Varela, and Canadian Minister of Mental Health and Addictions Dr. Carolyn Bennett. The panel is titled “Defining the Synthetic Drug and Opioid Overdose Problem for North America”.
