ecentralization of the energy system, development of green generation, and energy efficiency are among the priority tasks for the recovery of the energy sector of Ukraine. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
The Ukrainian Reconstruction Fund supports this direction of reforms and is already making its contribution to ensuring Ukraine’s energy independence.
— Conservation of natural resources and transition to renewable energy sources is a global trend. For Ukraine, it’s also a matter of survival, — says Pavlo Kostyuk, chair of the Fund. — I am glad that this topic is no longer just announced, but included in development plans at the highest level.
He added that the URF has its projects to provide autonomous power and heat generation systems for social infrastructure institutions.
— More than 10 projects of the restoration of schools and kindergartens that suffered during the war are already ready. That is, the objects were audited, and calculations and plans were made. Each such project includes energy efficiency measures: this is an important criterion that potential investors with whom we are negotiating financing refer to, — Pavlo Kostyuk emphasized.
